A: Introduction
Melanated cooperative has been established in October 2023. The main focus of the cooperative is farming. Nowadays having regular access to healthy food is getting harder and harder for more and more people every day, in many communities across Canada.
In light of that situation, Mr Cliff Nzombato, Fode Magassouba, and Dele Agboluaje, came together and formed the Melanated cooperative. Today, the cooperative has 15 members and we are interested in building a sustainable ZERO waste farm and garden co-operative in the Moncton, Dieppe and Shediac area of New Brunswick.
B: Executive summary
Melanated cooperative is working towards establishing a comprehensive, multi-level urban gardens and farm system and training institute that we hope will service New Brunswick and Canada, to increase food production and create a safe and healthy food supply for our vulnerable black community.
The purpose of this initiative is to sustainably contribute to addressing food security needs, the high cost of food, and the production of affordable food for our communities. Our primary focus is to create this functional farming and gardening institute.
